drupalMAO is a play on the famous acronym: LMAO which stands for Laugh My Ass Off. We think we're funny (even though no one else does) and we work our asses off using Drupal, hence Drupal My Ass Off.
This Thanksgiving Jerad and Dave were far away from friends and family back East. So, seeing how the Drupal community has become our family away from family we have decided to shoot a DrupalMAO episode.
We sit down to discuss some really interesting topics like Drupal Redesign, Freemium business model, Asset Module, Flag Module, and other things we found to be important over the last few weeks.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day.

I've been missing the LMAO Drupalings! Does a round of drinks at DrupalCon count as a sponsorship?..... You won't be hitting up Do It With Drupal, will you?

If I buy you a beer after you buy me a beer does that negate the sponsorship? If so, I can see this going back and forth for awhile. I'll make you earn the beer induced sponsorship.
sure does!
A beer or two is the best kinda sponsorship!
hah! happy thanksgiving...
fascinating stuff - at the start, the glass on the left is mostly full, as is the one on the right...but then at the end the glass on the right is basically gone and dude is slurring ;)
happy thanksgiving... (zilla)
First time watching??
Me (davexoxide) slurring by the end is usually how it goes. But this one was a bit over the top. I started earlier, drank more before, and was chasing with beer. Tis the season.
EDIT: wait you did say person on the right... that'd be sirkitree... he's usually the more coherent one... or maybe my speech is just slurred to begin with.
Hey!
I resemble that remark!
Asset 1.0 for Drupal 5
You are correct that Roger Lopez started working on a 5.x-2 version. Due to time restraints and his new job he had to drop development on it though. So the branch was removed and asset 1.0 is still the old clunky (and highly stable) version ;) With a couple of people we're working on the future of media handling in Drupal though, providing better integration between for instance filefield, emfield, media mover and asset. You can read all about the future of the asset module on g.d.o.

Follow-up
Thanks for providing that link. It's a shame that the 2 branch got scrapped, from what I saw of it, it was well along in development. To keep everybody well informed I think we'll add an amendment section near the end of the episode to follow up on inaccurate information.
